1 Samuel 11:12-14

¹² Then the people said to Samuel, “Who ·didn’t want Saul as king [was it that questioned, ‘Will Saul rule/reign over us]?’ Bring them here and we will kill them!”

¹³ But Saul said, “No! No one will be put to death today. Today the Lord has ·saved [rescued; delivered] Israel!”

¹⁴ Then Samuel said to the people, “Come, let’s go to Gilgal. There we will ·again promise to obey the king [renew the kingdom].”
